چکیده
Muscle architecture has been proposed as one of the most important determinants muscle strength and power performance. The purpose present investigation was to correlate with power, agility maximal in Italian division I Field Hockey (FH) players. Twenty players (age = 25.4 ± 5.2 y; body mass 78.5 9.0 kg; height 179.6 7.8 cm) were assessed for composition, agility, sprint isometric force squat (ISQ). pro-agility test (PRO) 30-m (SPRINT) used speed assessments, respectively. In addition, pennation angle (PA), fascicle length (FL) thickness (MT) vastus lateralis via B-mode ultrasound. Large positive correlations found between PRO both PA MT (r 0.62; p 0.006 r 0.51; 0.032, respectively). Moreover, SPRINT positively correlated negatively FL 0.50, 0.046; −0.50; 0.034, also detected fat 0.58; 0.012 0.61; 0.009, respectively), indicating detrimental effects on specific performances. findings showed existence large relationships physical characteristics related elite performance FH. Relationships to skating performance in competitive hockey players.
The purpose of this study was to identify off-ice variables that would correlate to on-ice skating sprint performance and cornering ability. Previous literature has not reported any off-ice testing variables that strongly correlate to on-ice cornering ability in ice hockey players. Thirty-six male hockey players aged 15-22 years (mean +/- SD: 16.3 +/- 1.7 years; weight = 70.8 +/- 10.4 kg; heigh...
متن کاملRelation between multidimensional performance characteristics and level of performance in talented youth field hockey players.
To determine the relationship between multidimensional performance characteristics and level of performance in talented youth field hockey players, elite youth players (n = 38, mean age 13.2 years, s = 1.26) were compared with sub-elite youth players (n = 88, mean age 14.2 years, s = 1.26) on anthropometric, physiological, technical, tactical and psychological characteristics. Multivariate anal...

Objective: In this work the anthropometric features and the body composition of Italian hockey players, members of the Female National team, were analysed. The purpose of the research was to verify if morphological features could influence the performance of different positional groups. Materials and Methods: Each player was measured for her total and sitting height, weight, 9 skinfolds thickne...
متن کاملRelationships and Predictive Capabilities of Jump Assessments to Soccer-Specific Field Test Performance in Division I Collegiate Players
Leg power is an important characteristic for soccer, and jump tests can measure this capacity. Limited research has analyzed relationships between jumping and soccer-specific field test performance in collegiate male players. Nineteen Division I players completed tests of: leg power (vertical jump (VJ), standing broad jump (SBJ), leftand right-leg triple hop (TH)); linear (30 m sprint; 0–5 m, 5...
متن کاملInjury patterns among female field hockey players.
PURPOSE To examine injury patterns among female field hockey players and to broaden the current base of knowledge by identifying the injury rates of different playing positions. It was hypothesized that goalkeepers would have the highest rate of injury, followed by forwards. METHODS High school, university, and national level female field hockey players (N = 158) completed an anonymous questi...
